What is Reflexology?
Reflexology identifies specific areas of the feet that are believed to correspond with different parts of the body. Reflexologists use a reflexology map of the feet to apply gentle pressure and manipulation to these areas, called reflex points, during a treatment. You can see the specific areas here.
Reflexology theory suggests that working these reflex points may help to encourage relaxation, support the body's natural balance and help to unblock energy channels, allowing energy to flow more freely throughout the body. Reflexology may be used alongside conventional medical care to support relaxation and general wellbeing during times of illness or recovery however, it is a complementary therapy and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.
Meet Maggie
I am a Level 5 qualified Clinical Reflexologist with a background in the NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist. I discovered reflexology through my work and quickly became fascinated by the positive impact that taking time to relax and focus on your wellbeing can have.
My treatments are tailored to you, creating a calm and welcoming space where you can switch off and enjoy some time for yourself.
